The Gainward CoolFX PowerPack! Ultra/1200 XP “Golden Sample”TM features a hand selected GeForce FX 5900 GPU running at 450Plus MHz (ultra speed), 128 MB of carefully qualified 900 MHz DDR, video-in/out, DVI, plus integrated Gainward CoolFXTM water cooling. The Gainward CoolFX PowerPack! Ultra/1200 XP “Golden Sample”TM is immediately available through Gainward’s worldwide distribu-tion and retail network and priced at €699 incl. VAT.

“Air cooling is either inefficient, noisy, or both, while Gainward CoolFXTM water cooling is around 20 times more efficient and almost silent”, commented Hans-Wolfram Tismer, Managing Director of Gainward Europe. “The advantages of Gainward CoolFXTM are increased 3D performance at 50 -100 MHz higher clock speeds and quiet operation targeting the 3D enthusiasts as well as professionals seeking a noiseless solution for their work place.”

Gainward CoolFXTM is based on a revolutionary design featuring the world’s most reliable Eheim aquarium water pump with an average 10 years life span, while con-ventional lower cost solutions are using lower quality water fountain pumps which may not even survive the mandatory European warranty period of two years. Equipped with a 400 Watt radiator and a 12 cm low noise fan, Gainward CoolFXTM can be extended to the CPU (Intel or AMD) and the North Bridge.

Gainward will also offer the Gainward CoolPCTM upgrade kit to extend the Gain-ward CoolFXTM water cooling to the CPU and the Northbridge, to result in a com-pletely silent, water cooled PC. Gainward CoolPCTM consists of two red water cool-ing blocks fabricated from pure copper for the CPU and the Northbridge, mounting brackets for both AMD or Intel CPUs, extension water tubes, spirals for the tubes to avoid bending and two hard disk decouples in order to reduce the noise of the hard disk. Gainward CoolPCTM will be available in October 2003 priced at €149 incl. VAT.

In order to offer today’s most reliable and long lasting water cooling solution Gain-ward has partnered with innovatek, today’s leading manufacturer of liquid cooling solutions, based in Stammham, Germany.

“innovatek are manufacturing high-quality products that fit our needs extremely well”, says Hans-Wolfram Tismer, Managing Director of Gainward Europe. “As in-novatek have been in this business since the beginning of “retail” water cooling they know very much about their operation and we are proud to have a partner like this on our side.”

“To meet the requirements of the leading manufacturer of high performance 3D graphics and home entertainment accelerators is a great challenge for us”, says Mar-kus Husterer, Managing Director of innovatek OS GmbH. “As pioneers of the whole H20 movement we are sure that this co-operation is another important step on the way of bringing the benefits of water cooling to every user.”

In addition, Gainward is introducing the Gainward FX PowerPack! Ultra/1300 TV-DVI and the Gainward FX PowerPack! Ultra/1100 TV-DVI, both featuring a GeForce FX 5900 GPU and 256 MB or 128 MB of 2.8ns DDR. Both products are immediately available at an expected street price € 349 and € 449 incl. VAT.
