ATI flagship mobile graphics selected for Apple’s new 15- and 17-inch PowerBook G4 Notebooks

(NASDAQ: ATYT; TSX: ATY), the undisputed market leader across all mobile platforms, announced that the MOBILITYTM RADEONTM 9600 mobile visual processor, which uses advanced 0.13-micron technology, is now shipping in Apple’s newest 15-inch and 17-inch PowerBook G4 notebooks.

It also supports a comprehensive array of external display options including Apple’s all digital 23-inch flat-panel Cinema HD Display and provides hardware acceleration for multiple video formats.
