Toshiba Selects Maxtor QuickView Consumer Hard Drives for HDD & DVD Video Recorder Series

Corporation (NYSE: MXO), a worldwide leader in hard disk drives and consumer
storage products, today announced that its Maxtor(R) QuickView(R) consumer
electronics (CE) hard drives have been selected for Toshiba’s HDD & DVD video
recorder series — RD-XS32, RD-XS35 and RD-X4. These new offerings come
equipped with Maxtor QuickView 80GB, 160GB, and 250GB hard disk drives which
are designed specifically for consumer electronics applications and recording

About RD-XS32, RD-XS35 and RD-X4
Toshiba’s RD-XS32, RD-XS35 and RD-X4 announced as Toshiba’s „RD-Style“
series are new products equipped with the „DVD Multi-drive.“ Supporting DVD-RW
along with traditional DVD-RAM and DVD-R functions, users can select the
appropriate media. Each HDD equipped with 80GB, 160GB, and 250GB is enough to
support volume storing and editing of TV programs and BS broadcasting
programs. Compared with the RD-XS32 and RD-XS35, RD-X4 is the top level model
