S3 Graphics Licenses InterVideo’s Digital Media Applications for OmniChrome

Fremont, 1 September 2004 – S3 Graphics and InterVideo, Inc. (NASDAQ IVII), a leading provider of digital video and audio software, today announced the signing of a comprehensive software license agreement which will enable S3 Graphics to offer a suite of InterVideo’s latest revisions of WinDVR, WinDVD, WinDVD Creator and Home Theater with its latest graphics products such as OmniChrome, enabling users to fully enjoy OmniChrome’s extensive feature set.

S3 Graphics OmniChrome is a sophisticated multi-functional, multimedia add-in card that features an on-board TV tuner, analog video input and capture connected to S3 Graphics’ latest Hi-Def graphics processor, DeltaChrome S4 Pro. This AGP8X PC graphics card offers full multimedia features in addition to high performance game capabilities enabled by the graphics processors DirectX 9.0 hardware vertex and pixel shaders, and the remote control unit offers an enhanced user experience with wireless interaction.

Intervideo’s WinDVD is of the most popular PC applications for DVD playback, industry proven reliability and intuitive interface, and is compatible with a wide range of both audio and video formats which include DVD, WMV9, MP3, VCD, SVCD and others, while WinDVR builds on the intuitive user interface of WinDVD and offers comprehensive control over the OmniChrome TV Tuner and Video Capture capabilities. Users can also schedule recording events using electronic program guide (EPG). Pausing live TV and other personal video recorder (PVR) functionality is also supported.

InterVideo’s WinDVD Creator adds a further dimension to the OmniChrome package, enabling users to edit, transform and merge the captured video content into new movies for recording in various formats including DVD, VCD and WMV-9. WinDVD Creator offers sophisticated non-linear editing capabilities and allows for the inclusion of digital pictures and music in the final movie creation. With both digital and analog video cameras, end users will be able to turn their home movies into content ready for burning onto recordable DVDs or CDs.

InterVideo Home Theater provides S3 Graphics partners with an exciting bundling alternative to WinDVD and WinDVR with this leading-edge multi-functional application. InterVideo Home Theater integrates the comprehensive media playback features of the WinDVD engine and the high quality video recording and PVR capabilities of WinDVR, and then further enhances this new solution with comprehensive media library features. Users of InterVideo Home Theater will be able to manage their collection of digital music and digital photographs and create personalized play lists and slideshows to enjoy through a relaxing, easy to use interface, designed for ease of use in a living room environment.
