First International Computer Inc. (FIC), a world producer of motherboards and graphics cards, launches a new motherboard for LGA775 Socket -the FIC PTM865. The new motherboard is based on Intel 865G chipset. Thanks to its performance and stability it is reliable representative for mainstream solutions.

First International Computer Inc. (FIC), a world producer of motherboards and graphics cards, launches a new motherboard for LGA775 Socket -the FIC PTM865. This new motherboard is based on Intel 865G chipset. Thanks to its performance and stability it is reliable representative for mainstream solutions. “The FIC PTM865 motherboard of microATX size supports the newest LGA775 Pentium 4 processors with Hyper-Threading technology. For the price of about 110 USD the end-user gets efficient basis, which will safely fulfill requirements to common home and office systems,” Frantisek Dvorak, Product manager FIC CZ comments the PTM865 introduction. The FIC PTM865 contains 4 Dual-Channel DDR 400/333, up to 4GB, 800MHz FSB, AGP 8X slot, 5.1 channel audio and two SATA and IEEE 1394 ports. Additional expansion is enabled due to 3 PCI slots or 8 USB 2.0 ports. The board also allows connection of conventional PATA discs, for which 2 IDE connectors are offered. “The FIC PTM865 with tuned and by long-term verified chipset Intel 865G has a very good chance to become successor of the successful model of Socket 478 – P4M-865G MAX platform,” Pavel Sveda, FIC CZ technical support manager adds. The FIC PTM865 is available since November 2004.
