Volari – a breath of fresh air for FIC graphics

First International Computer Inc. (FIC), a producer of motherboards, graphic cards and PC systems, has initiated co-operation with XGI Technology Inc., a graphic solutions provider. The FIC range of graphic cards has been greatly enlarged by three new products based on XGI Volari V8 and V3 chips.

First International Computer Inc. (FIC), a producer of motherboards, graphic cards and PC systems, has initiated co-operation with XGI Technology Inc., a graphic solutions provider. The FIC range of graphic cards has been greatly enlarged by three new products based on XGI Volari V8 and V3 chips. “Being a designer and producer of computers and consumer electronics, FIC foresees the potential of graphic cards on the digital market. We would like to target common users and to offer them products corresponding to the newest research,” Mike Liang, FIC Sales and Marketing Vice President stated. “XGI has at its disposal the newest technologies in the domain of graphic cards. Together with the use of actual FIC logistics and distribution, we would be able to offer end-users high quality and better priced video cards. The three new graphic cards for Volari chips and AGP 8X should be launched on the European market in May 2005,” Frantisek Dvorak, Business Development Manager of FIC CZ, concluded.

XGV364X

FIC XGV364X uses XGI Volari V3 chip and with 64 MB of memory. It is a typical representative of a price available graphic card intended for less demanding configuration. It supports DirectX 9.0 technology and offers high performance with low power and heat consumption.

XGV8128X

FIC XGV8128X and XGV8256X are targeting the mainstream VGA market segment. The XGI Volari V8 chip supports DirectX 9.0 and OpenGL 1.5 technologies. The XGV8128X disposes with 128 MB memory, XGV8256X with 256 MB.
