ATI Drives the Overwhelming Majority of Windows Vista PCs at Microsoft’s Windows Hardware Engineering Conference (WinHEC)

MARKHAM, Canada/ Munich, Germany —May 23, 2006 – ATI Technologies’ (TSX:ATY)(NASDAQ:ATYT) superior support of Microsoft Windows Vista™ has made the company’s graphics processors the natural choice to power an overwhelming majority of demo PCs running the new operating system at WinHEC, May 22-25 in Seattle, WA. Over 220 Windows Vista demo systems on display at the event feature ATI graphics processors—a testament to ATI’s exceptional driver stability and advanced support of the new operating system which is set to launch to consumers in January 2007.

Windows Vista demonstration PCs at the event which use ATI graphics processors include 35 AMD gaming systems running the latest game titles on the new operating system, as well as 185 desktop PCs—all of which are publicly accessible by conference delegates to experience Windows Vista first hand.
