July, 2008 – MSI, the leading mainboard manufacturer, is organizing the first MSI European Overclocking Challenge in Amsterdam, the Netherlands on 22, 23 and 24 of August. The MSI event is powered by OCZ Technology, PC Power & Cooling (memory, coolers and power supplies) and Tweakers.net. MSI, known for its mainboards, graphic cards and notebooks (with Turbo button to overclock), takes the lead in letting famous and eager overclockers from 20 countries in Europe tweak its latest MSI P45 platform all at the same time. Various National Qualifiers started in May already. The winners of these Qualifiers will be flown in for the MSI European Overclocking Challenge in the ‘Westergasfabriek’ in Amsterdam.
„By organizing this event on European level, we create a wide platform for overclockers. They can meet face to face and test and tweak our mainboards thoroughly. We at the same time get great feedback of these power users,’ says Angelique Berden, Marketing Director at MSI. „Each country will be represented by one Overclocking team, so it will be a heavy battle and a great challenge. The Challenge will be covered and broadcasted by most leading IT media in Europe.
MSI P45 mainboards are the main platform for the coming years for the latest Intel Dual and Quad Core CPU. Real performance kings among the crowd with extra hardware and software features like DrMOS for extra energy saving, extra cool temperatures and extra fast performance. Now we can see who will be the true king in tweaking “MSI P45 with DrMOS”.‟
One of the partners in this event is OCZ Technology.“OCZ was founded by enthusiasts and has ever since stayed close to the community, delivering ultra-high performance solutions tailored for the enthusiast overclocking market such as the innovative, water-cooled Flex XLC memory series.
