DivX and Denon Join Forces to Launch DivX Plus HD Certified Universal Players in Europe

San Diego, CA– December 27, 2010 – DivX®, a division of Sonic Solutions® (Nasdaq: SNIC), today announced that Denon, one of the world’s premier manufacturers of high-quality home entertainment components, has launched DivX Plus™ HD Certified Universal players throughout Europe. Now available at leading retailers, these stunning new devices will enable the playback of DivX Plus HD video using the MKV container, providing consumers with the ultimate high-quality video experience at HD resolutions up to 1080p.

Key advanced DivX Plus HD features on the Denon player includes support for up to eight subtitle and audio tracks in a single movie file, smooth fast forward and rewind which makes it easy to navigate through a DivX Plus video, and auto chapter points, so users can skip between chapters in a video when no chapters have previously been authored.

Also available in North America and Asia, Denon’s new line of DBP-1611UD Universal players represents the leading edge in performance and features for the fast growing high-definition format. DivX also makes it simple to load and playback digital videos in 1080p and Hollywood movies in DivX on the Blu-ray player’s USB slot.

DivX Plus HD Certification is the premium level of certification available from DivX, optimized for consumer electronics products and supports the playback of all content created with DivX software. Available on www.divx.com, DivX Plus Software allows users to create and playback H.264 video in an .mkv file container. DivX Plus HD Certified devices will playback all previous versions of DivX video and DivX Plus HD video files with the .mkv file extension and AAC audio created with third-party tools.
