Antec: Use of 2-3 PCIe Cables to Connect High-Powered GPUs

In a scenario where a modular cable has one single connector on the PSU unit end and it offers two or three PCI6+2 connectors, Antec Inc. recommend the use of two or three separate PCIe cables to connect the GPU to the Power Supply.

Antec strongly proposes to follow this advice in order to prevent cable damage caused by high-powered graphics cards.

The PCI-E header provides power to the GPU. A single cable usually contains 2 x 6+2pin headers. Recently, the power consumption of high-end GPUs increases. Therefore, we highly recommend if the model of GPU requires 200W or above, we suggest you use 2 or 3 6+2pin headers to power on your GPU.
