Ashen Studios announced a free demo of DYST: Did You See That? is now available, giving players an early look ahead of the game’s full release on Steam in October 2026. Developed with IURAS Studios, DYST drops two players into a fairground trapped in an endless transformation, where not everyone experiences the same version of it.

At its core, DYST plays like a spot-the-difference game between two players. Most of the time, both players see the same thing; it only becomes an anomaly when one player sees something the other doesn’t.

Comparing notes, questioning what you don’t see, and deciding who to trust becomes as important as spotting the differences themselves. Every discovery forces a choice: move forward or turn back, and each misstep brings the nightmare closer, gradually twisting the setting from a forgotten ruin into something disturbingly alive.

Push too far, and you’ll wake Bobby, the resident clown, where things can go completely wrong. Beneath it all is a story to piece together: buried memories, hidden truths, and the reason he wants players trapped in this cycle in the first place.

Key features

  • Co-op psychological horror built around asymmetric perception: what one player sees, the other might not
  • Investigate anomalies and decide together what to trust
  • A setting that transforms and grows more unstable as you progress
  • Tense, high-stakes moments when Bobby is provoked into appearing
  • A mystery to uncover, piece by piece, behind the endless cycle
