Cooler Master, a global leader in innovative thermal solutions and PC hardware, today announced the HAF II 500, a new high-end airflow case designed to push cooling performance forward while delivering a quieter, more flexible building experience.
As modern GPUs push ever-higher thermal densities and power requirements, moving enough air without raising system noise has become one of the defining challenges of PC case design. The HAF II 500 was engineered to address that challenge, bringing Cooler Master’s high-performance thermal engineering to today’s gaming, creator, and AI desktop systems.
That engineering starts with a fan configuration unprecedented in consumer PC cases: two Mighty40 F220 intake fans (220 × 40 mm), each delivering up to 203.8 CFM at a maximum of 36 dB(A), paired with a Mighty40 V180 exhaust fan (180 × 40 mm) moving up to 161.5 CFM at 34 dB(A). By balancing intake and exhaust rather than simply adding fans, the HAF II 500 achieves industry-leading noise-normalized cooling performance, lower component temperatures at any given system noise level, a result validated throughout development in an independent, temperature-controlled testing laboratory.
“With the HAF II 500, we built the largest fans on the market and designed the case around them to achieve maximum airflow,” said Gustavo Chiu, co-CEO of Cooler Master. “The result is a case that stays true to the HAF legacy while adding the modern features people expect from a top-performing chassis. For Cooler Master, HAF has always been one of the clearest expressions of our Thermal Authority.”
Making room for fans of this size meant rethinking the chassis itself. A split-level layout reallocates space traditionally reserved for cable management to accommodate the oversized exhaust fan without increasing the case’s footprint, while zoned cable routing and the integrated Sliding Cable Cover keep the interior clean and airflow paths unobstructed.
Large, low-resistance ventilation openings at the front and rear let the fans operate efficiently at low RPM, and the Airflow Divider channels a dedicated stream of air toward the graphics card, where thermal demand is highest.
The same architecture extends to how the case is built and configured. The MasterRail sliding mounting system supports multiple fan and radiator formats without obstructing airflow, and the Dual-Mode GPU Holder secures either a single graphics card or two open-air GPUs up to 3.6 slots (72 mm) thick. With eight expansion slots and support for up to four dual-slot blower-style GPUs, the HAF II 500 scales from enthusiast gaming builds to AI, rendering, and simulation workstations, without compromising airflow efficiency.
Availability
In Europe, the HAF II 500 will be available from September 2026 through authorized Cooler Master retail and distribution partners at the following suggested retail price: 184,99 Euro
