Ofihombre Studios Launches a Mega-Patch for Randy & Manilla

No new levels, but a smarter fireball throw, skippable story and a cheat menu make this the studio's biggest patch so far.

Independent developer Ofihombre Studios has released the Mega-Patch for Randy & Manilla on Steam. Too big to count as a standard patch, it follows the Fakepeace Update and makes up for a summer without news.

Randy now swings his arms when throwing fireballs, in 2D and 3D. Cutscenes can be paused with ESC or Start, while the new Cheat Menu offers Auto-Sprint and Auto-Skip Cutscenes for players chasing pure gameplay. Menus, mini-maps and typography also got polish.

Barring an urgent hotfix, the studio now turns to the milestone that will define the game’s final version.

Fixes & Fine-Tuning

Gameplay: Randy no longer freezes on Fakepeace teleports, both heroes can attack while walking through Rol & Rogue, and Manilla’s shield is limited to battles there.

Physics: Manilla sinks slowly in water, and the 5-3 sand platforms collapse faster.

Levels: a rescue teleporter in 4-1 for Manilla’s last life point, extra checkpoints in Blacksquare 8-4, plus hitbox, collision and shadow tweaks throughout.

Interface: color-coded action buttons for the Crackscorpio and Yanbug fights, a new fist icon for Randy, and „Back“ replacing „Quit“ in English.

Atmosphere: the Fakepeace radio now has an on/off switch.
