Life vs Death Starts Today: Body Kounts Is Free to Play During Steam Next Fest

Independent developer Voeult is showcasing Body Kounts at Steam Next Fest, which starts today. The free demo can be downloaded from Steam and played throughout the festival, ahead of the full game’s release on 30 October 2026.

In Body Kounts, players put their lives on the line and resurrect long-extinct beasts in an alternate realm. They then send those beasts into battle in a winner-takes-all series of mind games. Every defeat is fatal, so players must use their wits and every tool at their disposal to overcome each challenge and survive.

The game is an action-packed, visually striking interpretation of ancient tabletop games. It features a soundtrack by Øfdream, TomKillsJerry, and other artists.
