Showing a performance increase of up to 40% over NVIDIA’s previous GeForce FX 5600 Ultra chip generation (3D Mark 2003, P4 3GHz, 512MB) the Gainward FX PowerPack! Ultra/960 TV-DVI-DVI “Golden Sample” will dominate the mid range/mainstream market segment in both, performance and price/performance by offering the ultimate best bang for the buck.

The Gainward CoolFX PowerPack! Ultra/960 TV-DVI-DVI “Golden Sample” is based on a carefully qualified NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700 Ultra running at 500+ MHz, 128MB of 1+ GHz DDR2, integrated Gainward CoolFX water cooling, two DVI connectors with VGA converters plus video-out.

Gainward CoolFX is based on a revolutionary design featuring the world’s most reliable Eheim aquarium water pump with an average 10 years life span, while con-ventional lower cost solutions are using lower quality water fountain pumps which may not even survive the mandatory European warranty period of two years. Equipped with a performance radiator and a 120 mm low noise fan, Gainward CoolFX can be extended with the Gainward CoolPC upgrade kit to also cool down the CPU (Intel or AMD) and the North Bridge to almost room temperature. In order to avoid any leakages and water evaporation through the pipe system Gainward is using special plastic pipes and fittings to connect all components into a sealed water circulation system.

The Gainward FX PowerPack! Ultra/960 TV-DVI-DVI “Golden Sample” is based on an identical design featuring a high performance/low noise twin fan solution running at 500 MHz core clock and 1 GHz memory clock. The Gainward FX Power-Pack! Ultra/960 TV-DVI-DVI “Golden Sample” will be available by the end of October 2003 at a recommended retail price of € 299,–.

The Gainward FX PowerPack! Ultra/980 TV-DVI-DVI “Professional” is based on a carefully qualified NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700 running at 400 MHz, 256 MB of 550 MHz DDR, integrated Gainward SilentFX heatpipe cooling without fan, two DVI connectors with VGA converters plus video-out. The Gainward FX PowerPack! Ultra/980 TV-DVI-DVI “Professional” will be available by the end of November 2003 at a recommended retail price of € 299,–.

With nView Display Technology the Gainward FX PowerPack Ultra/9xx series also supports two displays simultaneously with two independent 400 MHz RAMDACs for office applications, 3D gaming and professional applications such as CAD, DTP, animation, or video editing. The maximum supported resolution for both dis-plays is 2048 x 1536 @ 85Hz. Depending on the resolution the maximum refresh rate is up to 240 Hz.

With two DVI/VGA output connectors plus TV-out the Gainward FX PowerPack! Ultra/9xx series allows the end-users to select any combination of multiple displays, including digital flat panels, two analog CRTs, and a TV, and to modify the display properties independently, using an intuitive software interface.

EXPERTool is Gainward’s performance tuning utility that allows the user to easily adjust the engine clock and the memory clock of any Gainward product from NVIDIA’s recommended default settings to even faster settings. Thanks to Gainward’s proprietary, rock solid, multi-layer High-Performance/Wide-Bandwidth hardware design, Gainward offers the end user the choice to run Gainward’s “Golden Sample” products at “Enhanced Performance Settings” (both, faster engine clock AND faster memory clock) which guarantee significantly improved “3D real-world performance” for even higher resolutions at 32 bit color depth.
