Possessed Kingdom is out today on Steam. In this turn-based roguelike deckbuilder from Pipa Studios, cards become buildings, and the player has to keep economy, defenses and army in balance while reading what the enemy is up to.

Planning happens turn by turn, once the troops head out, combat resolves on its own, so the weight falls on the choices made beforehand: what to build, how much to invest and where to send the soldiers. Every round brings the same question, put more into the economy or attack, and the opponent’s strategy sets the pace alongside the player’s own.

The Route Is the Weapon

Cards are only half of the puzzle, the other half is a line the player draws across the map, which the troops then follow. A path can swing around a defense, go straight for the enemy economy or bring several waves together against one point. A group can also peel off to intercept enemy soldiers on the way, and matching troops to the right defense counts for as much as the cards themselves.

Winning pays, after each victory the player picks cards from the defeated enemy and takes them into the next battle, so beating a rival also means raiding its deck. Between fights, the player can inspect the next opponent, reroll the offers in the store and look for a rival that the current deck and relics can counter. Relic effects add another layer, and each run takes its shape from whatever gets picked up along the way.

Runs get tougher through ten Ascension levels, each with its own strategic challenge. Anyone who wants a taste first can try the free demo, available on Steam since July 28, 2026.
