“2006 is a milestone year for Corsair,” said Andy Paul, President & CEO at Corsair. “We led the industry to break both frequency and latency barriers month after month. It is our devotion to engineering, product innovation and quality production that drive us to this record shipment. We experienced continued growth as we entered multiple product cycles, resulting in incredible boost across all product categories. This year we expect our premium line of gaming modules to grow by 30%.”
Corsair XMS family of products are designed and engineered to meet the demands of the enthusiast PC customer. Since the founding in 1994, Corsair has been supporting the growth of the enthusiast community through tailored product development. Sales of Corsair premium memory modules correlate with the overall market size of enthusiasts. In 2005, Corsair shipped approximately 5 million total memory modules to consumers, representing an increase of 150% from 2004. This year Corsair expects its growth trend to continue with the company’s exciting line up of DDR2 products, ranging from 800MHz and 1066MHz speed grades to its new DOMINATOR products guaranteed to run at 1111MHz, all at industry leading low latencies.
“Corsair has consistently been one of our premium memory brands for over 3 years. Through user feedback, it is evident that more enthusiasts use Corsair memory today than any other brand,” said Anthony Chow, VP of Product Management at Newegg.com, the largest PC component e-marketer in the US. “By working closely with Corsair, Newegg has been able to deliver above average sales growth and customer satisfaction. We congratulate Corsair on this phenomenal achievement.”
