GeForce GTX285

These newest flagship products are the ultimate performance boosting cards available on the market. Unbeatable on every area these monsters outrun ANY other available graphics card!

The great advantage of the GeForce 200 series lies in the use of its parallel GPU cores. These sub-GPU cores take care of the 3-dimensional object rendering, physics and lighting effects and all other calculations needed for games, movies and multimedia applications.

GeForce GTX295

In case of the GeForce GTX 295, 480 Shader processors (divided over two GPUs) are used to maximize performance in Shader model 4.0 and/or PhysX accelerated games, OpenGL applications, high definition video decoding and other hardware accelerated software such as the Badaboom (video conversion software: trial included on the driver CD) and Photoshop CS4.

The Shader cores operate on 1242 MHz whilst the main GPU has a speed of 576 MHz. A solid 896-bit memory bus is being fuelled by an insane 1792 MB DDR3 memory running on 1998 MHz.
If all this brute force still isn’t enough, kick this sucker in SLI for a performance beyond your wildest dreams. A quad SLI setup with double-dual GPU graphics cards!

Our second killer; the GTX285, has one GPU with 240 Shader processors. The GPU itself runs on 648 MHz and has Shader clock of 1476 MHz. Furthermore there is 1024MB of DDR3 on board with is running through a 512 bit memory bus at a massive speed of 2484 MHz. Also this one supports SLI with up to three graphics cards, which will offer even more performance.

Last but not least, the GTX295 has been equipped with two dual-link DVI ports and one HDMI port. With this you can connect up to screens with resolutions up to 2560×1600 and feed your TV with 1080p signal!

The GTX285 has to work with only two DVI Ports but is delivered with a DVI to HDMI adapter.

Like all other graphics cards in the GeForce 200 Series, this card has native support for DirectX 10 and Shader model 4.0. Other characteristics of the GeForce 200 Series are:

  • NVIDIA PhysX
True-to-life Water, cloth, explosions and smoke!
Experience even more realistic visual effects with the Physics accelerating technology!

  • NVIDIA CUDA
This technology allows other than graphics software to be run over the GPU.
Have 480 sub-processors decode your video many times faster than conventional (CPU-based) software.

  • NVIDIA Hybrid Power
Not playing any games? Switch to your integrated graphics chip for minimal power consumption. A smart solution for a greener environment.

The GeForce GTX 295 will be available from today and the GTX 285 the week after. Visit the “Where to Buy” section of our website for a sales point in your country. Also look out for the Special Edition Prince of Persia bundle with a full version of Ubisoft’s hitgame!
