Indie studio Bubble Head Games are delighted to announce that Beats of Fury officially releases today on Steam, marking the culmination of more than six years of development, refinement, and community-driven improvements.
Originally released into Early Access on April 21, 2020, the unique rhythm bullet hell experience now launches as a complete product, delivering the full vision of a game where every shot creates music and every song becomes an epic battle.
The game’s innovative fusion of music and gameplay has already earned industry recognition. Beats of Fury received the Best Audio Game Award at Casual Connect Europe and the Audience Choice Award at Run Double Jump Egypt, highlighting its unique approach to interactive music experiences.
Combining the intensity of classic bullet hell shooters with the emotional power of music-driven gameplay, Beats of Fury challenges players to survive relentless waves of projectiles while staying synchronized with the rhythm. The result is a distinctive action experience where players don’t simply listen to music—they actively fight through it.
The full release arrives with an expanded feature set, polished gameplay systems, additional content, accessibility improvements, and the complete story campaign. Throughout its Early Access journey, the development team worked closely with players, using community feedback to refine mechanics, balance difficulty, improve performance, and expand the game’s most ambitious feature: the ability to transform virtually any song into a playable bullet hell stage.
One of Beats of Fury’s most innovative features allows players to generate custom bullet hell levels from YouTube videos or local music files. The game’s procedural systems analyze the selected track and transform its rhythm, intensity, and structure into a unique playable stage. Whether players choose electronic dance music, heavy metal, orchestral compositions, or their favorite independent artists, every song becomes a new challenge.
Players can also share their custom-generated creations with the wider community, creating an ever-growing library of rhythm battles that extends the game’s replayability far beyond the story campaign.
In the world of Beats of Fury, reality itself has fallen out of sync. Once governed by a perfect rhythm known as the Pulse, the world has descended into chaos after that harmony was shattered. Players assume the role of the only being still synchronized with the Pulse, fighting corrupted beats and confronting the mysterious force responsible for breaking reality’s rhythm.
As players progress through the campaign, they will battle their way across handcrafted stages inspired by electronic music, techno, rock, post-rock, and metal. Every encounter is designed around the music itself, creating a gameplay experience where rhythm becomes both weapon and survival tool.
