Kurztest am PC
Am PC konnten wir das Kingston Renegade Fury in Verbindung mit dem genannten MSI Mag B550 Tomahawk, einem AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, 64 GByte DDR4-RAM (2x G.Skill RipJaws V, 3600MHz) sowie einer MSI GeForce RTX 4080 testen. In CrystalDiskMark können wir dabei die Angaben des Herstellers verifizieren. So erreichen wir hier Ergebnisse, die dem M.2-SSD durchaus die versprochenen Geschwindigkeiten bescheinigen.

Synthetische Benchmark-Werte sind hier natürlich immer ein sinnvoller Fingerzeig, doch es zählt vor allem, was sich in der Praxis abspielt. Aus Gamer-Sicht ist inzwischen im PC ein potentes SSD-Modell ebenfalls zur Pflicht geworden. Viele aktuelle Spiele wie „Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales“, „Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart“ oder auch „Alan Wake 2“ sind ohne SSDs nur in extrem reduzierten Auflösungen spielbar, weil das Nachladen Probleme macht.
Gerade wer Titel der PlayStation Studios, die zuvor mit der schnellen SSD der PS5 im Hinterkopt optimiert worden sind, am Rechner spielen möchte, sollte ein PCIe-NVMe-SSD in seiner Planung für ein System berücksichtigen. Aus unserer Sicht ist die Kingston Fury Renegade hier eine hervorragende Option mit einem guten Preis- Leistungsverhältnis.
