Coinciding with the Season of Pride —an event focusing on LGTBIQ+ gamers— indie game development studio Food for Thought has announced that Sibel’s Journey is now available on Steam. The game is already out on iOS and Android.

Sibel’s Journey is an adventure and exploration game celebrating the diversity of humanity. Follow Sibel through a transformative weekend in Berlin, where she meets people with diverse identities and relationships. The game delves into themes of self-discovery, identity, and personal growth, offering a heartfelt and inclusive narrative.

The story focuses on Sibel’s personal growth as she connects with others, including her best friend Sarah, while reflecting on her own identity. Sibel’s Journey provides a safe space to explore topics like self-acceptance, relationships, and communication, emphasizing LGBTQIA+ representation.

With rich storytelling and choice-driven gameplay, the game invites players to navigate Berlin’s vibrant neighborhoods and characters. It blends real-life lessons with impactful storytelling. Join Sibel as she discovers insights about herself and the world—one conversation at a time.

The game has earned notable recognition, winning awards such as Gaming Ohne Grenzen (2023), Big Impact: Diversity (2024), and Goldener Spatz Media Sponsorship (2023). It was also nominated for the Games for Change Festival’s Best in Civics (2024).

Additionally, it was a finalist for the GEE Learning Game Award (2023) and in the Big Impact categories of Education, Social Matters, and Mobile Games (2024), as well as receiving nominations for the Goldener Spatz German Children’s Media Festival (2023) and the TOMMI Children’s Software Award (2022).
