PQube celebrates Steam Next Fest – June Edition with three new demos

Steam Next Fest returns for yet another edition and we have three fantastic demos to share courtesy of the talented teams at Dual Effect, Crinkle Cut Games, and MAGES.

Reunite with Caroline Walker in 90s survival horror throwback Tormented Souls 2, manage your own discount supermarket in satirical shop keeper sim Discounty, and step into the Iwakura mansion to experience a moving drama in the suspenseful visual novel Iwakura Aria.

TORMENTED SOULS 2

Caroline Walker returns in the sequel to the award-winning survival horror classic from Chilean developers, Dual Effect. Explore the decaying remains of the secluded Villa Hess, use improvised weapons to confront terrifying creatures, and bend the fabric of reality to save your sister from a twisted cult.

This demo features the first 60 minutes of gameplay as Caroline navigates the claustrophobic passageways of a sinister convent in search of her missing sister. But as she ventures deeper into the shadowy facility, she discovers that she is not alone and that an ancient evil calls from below…

Discounty, the wholesome Retail RPG from Danish developers, Crinkle Cut Games has opened its doors for new shopkeepers and invites you to check out an exclusive Next Fest demo!

So, grab an apron and prep that “checkout face” because it’s time to clock in. This brand-new playable demo gives players a condensed sample of approximately 45 minutes of the first act. You will be able to explore the scenic harbour town of Blomkest, get a taste of the small-town drama, organise and plan your shop’s layout and maybe even strike a lucrative trade deal…

IWAKURA ARIA

The Iwakura mansion holds a dark secret. Ichiko the new young maid joins looking for nothing but safety and security, but soon finds herself entangled with the beautiful daughter of the Iwakura household. Unravel the secrets of the Iwakura mansion in this gripping suspense visual novel from visual novel veterans MAGES.

The demo features the first few hours of gameplay and provides a sneak peak into elements of the story featured later in the game through a carefully curated selection of scenes (available from the demo main menu).

Iwakura Aria releases on 14th August on Steam & Nintendo Switch.
