International games publisher Funbox Media Ltd has announced that Tales from Candleforth, a folk horror 2D point-and-click game, is now available on PlayStation 5. The game is already available on Steam.
Tales from Candleforth is a dark narrative adventure where forbidden writings, long hidden beneath fairy tales, resurface and twist the stories with elements of horror. As the corrupted text bleeds through the pages, players are drawn into a world where folklore collides with nightmare.
The first tale follows Sarah, a 16-year-old girl left to manage her family’s apothecary after her grandmother’s mysterious disappearance. When she uncovers clues that her grandmother may still be alive, Sarah discovers inherited powers unique to the women in her family and begins a journey into occultism, mystery, and horror to uncover long-buried family secrets.
Players join Sarah as she unravels the hidden darkness of Candleforth, solving puzzles and exploring a haunting world filled with twisted tales. Each step draws her deeper into madness, revealing the sinister forces shaping her story.
