Maiden of the Dark is a Game Boy-inspired action-platformer featuring ten challenging levels filled with enemies, dangerous terrain, and intense boss battles. Players navigate rocky mountains, dark forests, spiked caves, burning villages, and rapid waters while mastering precise platforming and combat, all set to a heavy-metal-inspired soundtrack.

The story follows a desperate Japanese village that summons the Maiden of the Dark, an ancient spirit empowered only at night, to defeat the warlord Zankoku and his two shoguns. With just ten hours of darkness before her power fades at sunrise, she carves through men and demons on a relentless mission to free the village from tyranny.

The game is created by a passionate four-person team: TigerChainsaw, who developed the story, design, and level concepts. RetroRoo, who programmed the gameplay and combat systems. PixelChunga, who crafted all pixel art and animations, and OGM, who composed the heavy-metal soundtrack that defines the game’s atmosphere.
