Montezuma’s Revenge – The 40th Anniversary Edition Out Now on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox

Independent developers Mission Critical Studios, Handcrafted Mystical Games, and Normal Distribution, and publisher Eastasiasoft Limited have announced that platforming adventure Montezuma’s Revenge – The 40th Anniversary Edition is now available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation™ 4, PlayStation 5™, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and the Microsoft Store for Windows at $12.99 USD.

Montezuma’s Revenge is back with a fully evolved adventure for its 40th anniversary, offering 100 challenging rooms to explore and a choice between Pedro or his sister Rosita as playable characters. The game resurrects the original 1983 vision of creator Robert Jaeger, completing what was once unfinished and expanding the adventure with new challenges and treasures.

Remade from the ground up, the 40th Anniversary Edition features vibrant 3D visuals while preserving the classic 2D gameplay, letting players run, jump, climb, collect artifacts, avoid traps, and survive fiendish enemies to complete their quest.

Montezuma’s Revenge 40th Anniversary Deluxe Edition, which includes 2 items: Montezuma’s Revenge The 40th Anniversary Edition and Montezuma’s Revenge – Director’s Cut, is currently available on Steam. The deluxe version on Switch Director’s Cut is on a USB drive for PC.
